The Southmoreland School District recently conducted precautionary proactive lead testing of our water supply. The acceptable limit for lead levels in drinking water is 20 parts per billion. 27 samples were taken from across the district. Of those samples, 21 contained lead levels that were too low to detect and 6 samples contained very low lead levels. The highest level detected was 4.3 parts per billion, well below the EPA limit of 20 parts per billion.
Students who are new to the Southmoreland School District must register before starting school.
